What Must I Do To Be Saved
and Know I Am Safe In Christ?
Jesus commanded us, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel." Mark 1:15

Repent -- Change your mind about you and God. Agree that He is right and you are wrong. He is holy and righteous in condemning you for your sins and your rejection of His rule over you. Admit that right now you deserve punishment in hell. Resolve to turn from your own way and come to God His way for the forgiveness of your sins, as He commands you in the Gospel of Christ.

Believe -- Place your faith (trust, reliance, dependence) completely and only in the Lord Jesus Christ to be your Savior from sin, death and hell. Surrender yourself to Him, who is God the Son, to be forever the Lord of your life. Giving up all thought of deserving or earning your salvation, bring to God only your sinful, guilty, helpless self. Come to God claiming only the perfect merits of Jesus who died in your place on the cross and arose in victory from the tomb. Reach out your empty hand of faith to receive Christ, believing God's promise to receive you for the sake of Jesus, His Son, who loved you and gave Himself for you.

"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
Acts 16:30-31

"And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day."
John 6:40

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."
John 5:24

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."
John 10:27-28

"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John. 3:16

"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
John 3:17

"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
John 3:18

"And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."
John. 3:19
