And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram,
and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will
make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee,
that thou mayest be a multitude of people.
And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a
nation and a company of nations shall be of thee. and kings shall come out of thy loins.
And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the
land of Canaan, and blessed me, And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and
multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people: and will give this land to
thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.
But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong
by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of
Israel:) Even by the God of thy father, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven
above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb.
He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the
Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open. He hath said, which heard the
words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the
Almighty, falling into trance, but having his eyes open.
And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty
hath dealt very bitterly with me. I went out full, and the Lord hath brought me home again
empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the
Almighty hath afflicted me?
Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through
thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. Thou shalt also
suck the milk of Gentiles and shalt such the breasts of kings: and thou shalt know that I
the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Rejoice ye with Jerusalem and be glad with her, all ye that love her:
rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: That ye may suck, and be satisfied
with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the
abundance of her glory. For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a
river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: them shall ye suck, ye shall
be borne upon her sides and be dandled upon her knees. As one whom his mother comforteth,
so will comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true
and righteous are thy judgments. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles,
which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the
battle of that great day of God Almighty.
And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the
nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the
fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And I saw no temple therin: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the
temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it:
for the glory of God did lighten it and the Lamb is the light therof.
