God the Holy Spirit

Definition:

The third person of the Trinity. The one who enables man to truly worship and obey God. The guide to the truth of the Father.

Meaning:

The Spirit is the promised guide and reminder of all that Jesus taught while He was on Earth. By keeping in touch with the Holy Spirit we are able to worship God as He truly wants to be worshipped.

Scripture Support:

John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and will be in you.

John 16: 13-15
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hat are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Conclusion:

The Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. Only as one walks in the Spirit can he be empowered to accomplish the things God wants him to do.

Application:

I will pray each day to God that He will guide me through the Spirit throughout the day so that I will be glorifying Him in all that I do. Because the Holy Spirit lives in me, I will live my life in God's will each day, allowing the Spirit to fill me with His power and to be in control of my every action.
