Clinching the Case for the Faith of Christ

Let us add a clinching argument for the faith of Christ revealed in the Bible as the true faith. First, must not the true faith necessarily provide the solution to humanity's most urgent problem? Second, is not our most urgent problem that of our sinfulness that separates us from God who is holy, leaving us incapable of approaching Him, indeed, of even desiring to come to Him? Third, does any other faith directly address our sin problem by offering a solution that does not evade the facts of the human condition? The answer to this last question is No. No other faith offers deliverance from the wrath and judgment of a holy God against man's sin and rebellion against his Creator. Only the biblical revelation tells us of a Creator-God who gave Himself to redeem sinners from their hopeless depravity and corruption, from eternal loss in separation from God, and bring them to glory and joy in His presence with all the blood-bought saints forever.

So it is entirely reasonable to believe that the Creator God has a personal message for man whom He created a personal being in His own image, and that He has communicated this message in words. It is reasonable that the infinite-personal God should use chosen humans to speak and write His message to the human race. It is reasonable that this message should be preserved in completed form in a book to be read by people of all times and conditions who are seeking to know God and His will for their own lives. Finally, it is reasonable to believe that the Bible is the Word of God, for it reveals the real existence of the infinite-personal God Whom we are led to believe exists because of the fact that personal human nature could only have its source in a Creator who is Himself a personal Being.

Here The Creation Explanation rests its case. You, the reader, must come to your own conclusions based upon the evidence from the creation. The persuasive evidence for intelligent, purposeful design is all around us and within us in inanimate nature, in living creatures, and in our human nature, even in its present state, corrupted by sin. May this evidence lead you to faith in the God of creation, the God of the Bible, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ to stronger faith if you are already a believer, and to a new-found faith if you have not before trusted in Jesus Christ. This faith does not come as a result of studying science, but the examination of scientific evidence which we are concluding can remove some of the roadblocks to faith. The faith itself comes through the message of the gospel contained in the Bible, the message that "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4).

We believe that a fruit of biblical faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is humble confidence in the entire Bible as the Word of God, including the Genesis record of creation. This faith alone can deliver an individual or a nation from the destructive effects of the evolutionary faith. Christian faith can do far more. It can give value and meaning to an otherwise meaningless universe and meaning and blessed fulfillment to an otherwise empty life. With this faith one can go forth into life and into the world with the purpose of glorifying God in all things, confident that every created thing bears witness to the truth of the Scriptures which are our only divine rule for faith and life.
